A few weeks ago, I got a message on Instagram inquiring about event photography for a baby shower. Most photographers will tell you that most inquiries for photography overall come from women so this was a pleasant surprise hearing from the husband of an expecting mother who wanted to make sure we were able to capture this amazing event he and some friends and family had put together to celebrate his wife and the baby,
The venue was a new one for me – Lenny Bow Brewing Company and I highly recommend it not just for baby showers but even weddings and corporate events in the Charlotte. The team did a great job with the Bee and Honey decor. Family and friends were brimming with excitement when i arrived and everyone was at their best as they waited to spring a surprise on the Mama to be.
It was beautiful and sweet to watch the Mama experience levels of surprise and happiness and know how loved she and the little one already are. You can tell from the photos that these are moments she and her loved ones will forever treasure even as they welcome this new addition to the family.
As a photographer, I really enjoy capturing events like these- baby showers, weddings, graduations and so on. Just being able to capture the emotions in the actual moment is a big deal and I always aim do just that.
